About the role

Ignitis Group is looking for an experienced Accounting Expert to lead the accounting activities of UAB Ignitis. The role ensures compliance with Lithuanian legislation, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and tax regulations while supporting the company’s green energy transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and ensure smooth, efficient accounting operations in line with national laws, IFRS and tax statutes.
• Coordinate team tasks, month‑end closing and inventory processes.
• Prepare and deliver financial statements and packages (monthly, quarterly, audited annual reports in Lithuanian and English, statistical reports, filings to the Register Center).
• Calculate and declare taxes, including corporate income tax, deferred profit tax and VAT.
• Participate in audit processes and drive optimisation of accounting procedures.

Required profile

• Higher education degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation.
• Good understanding of legal acts governing financial reporting and ability to apply them.
• Very good proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
