About the role

KIKA GROUP is establishing a new veterinary clinic in Kaunas and seeks a senior veterinarian to lead the clinic, define standards, and build a high‑performing team. The role combines clinical excellence with strategic development of services and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the veterinary team, managing daily operations and schedules.
• Monitor clinic performance indicators, analyse data and report to senior management.
• Ensure the quality of veterinary services meets the highest professional standards.
• Handle complex or critical cases, provide consultations for challenging diagnoses.
• Oversee surgical, diagnostic and treatment workflows, ensuring compliance with regulations, hygiene and safety.
• Develop and maintain staff rosters, on‑call duties and workload distribution.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding and professional development planning for new veterinarians.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, partners and regulatory bodies (e.g., VMVT).
• Contribute to the expansion of service portfolio and acquisition of diagnostic equipment.
• When needed, directly examine, diagnose and treat patients.

Required profile

• University degree in veterinary medicine and a valid veterinary licence.
• Minimum 5 years of veterinary experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong organisational and decision‑making abilities, especially under pressure.
• Broad knowledge of internal medicine, surgery and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and client‑service skills.
• Proficiency in Russian or English is a plus.
• Responsible, meticulous, empathetic and a team player.
