Accountant / Finance Specialist

About the role

As an Accountant / Finance Specialist you will manage the full accounting cycle for a real‑estate development company and prepare key financial information. Your duties will span from recording primary accounting documents to delivering annual financial statements, budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and coordinating the audit process.

Key responsibilities

• Independently handle the company’s complete accounting, from primary documents to annual financial statements.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, issue invoices, and manage bank transactions, payments and settlements.
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances and account for revenue, costs, inventory, and assets related to real‑estate projects.
• Prepare VAT returns (including reverse‑charge), i.SAF registers, tax filings and other mandatory reports.
• Calculate salaries, holiday pay, sick leave payments and manage employment contracts and related documentation.
• Develop and update project and company budgets, compare actual results with budgets and analyse variances.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts based on management assumptions.
• Coordinate the audit process, providing documents to auditors and resolving any issues.

Required profile

• Higher education in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing full accounting operations independently.
• Proven experience coordinating audits and working with auditors.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian accounting, tax regulations and Labour Code.
• Experience in payroll calculation and preparation of mandatory reports (VAT, i.SAF).
• Ability to prepare budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and analyse variances.
• Fluent in Lithuanian and good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with a standard ERP system.
