Analytics Engineer

About the role

An analytics engineer bridges the gap between raw data infrastructure and data analysis. You will own the road from collected data to the tables, dashboards and model outputs our analysts and clients rely on, sitting between the engineering team and the analytics team.

Key responsibilities

• Keep data moving reliably from collection through processing to analysis: find bottlenecks and automate repetitive steps.
• Own data quality end‑to‑end: define validation checks, monitor freshness and completeness, detect anomalies and resolve discrepancies before they reach analysts or clients.
• Develop our Metabase environment, including data models, saved questions, dashboards and performance tuning, and bring best practices from other BI tools.
• Work on the LLM‑based analysis layer: verify model outputs against underlying data, refine prompts and output schemas, and monitor quality drift.
• Act as the link between engineering and analytics: track engineering changes, interpret their impact on analytics pipelines and create documented assets for the analytics team.
• Design, build and maintain clean, well‑modelled datasets (SQL models, materialised views) that turn raw data into analysis‑ready tables.
• Document data models, definitions and lineage so metrics stay consistent and analysts don’t need to reverse‑engineer the data.

Required profile

• 2+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a data analyst role with a strong engineering focus.
• Hands‑on experience with Metabase or comparable BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Superset, Tableau), including data modelling inside the tool.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, optimisation and automation.
• Experience with data‑quality practices: validation checks, monitoring, and tracing discrepancies to their source.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and structured outputs, with the ability to critically assess model results.

What we offer

• Gross salary ranging from 2,500 EUR to 4,500 EUR per month, based on experience and job requirements.
