Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Developer to join the Telia Play team, building high‑performing Android experiences for millions of users across the Nordics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain the Telia Play Android application, with a strong focus on Android TV.
• Design and optimise the app for performance, scalability and smooth release flows.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement modern architectural patterns and coding standards.
• Build using a Kotlin‑based stack that includes Jetpack Compose, Firebase and GraphQL.
• Create exceptional user experiences that delight and engage customers.

Required profile

• Strong experience building scalable, high‑quality applications for Android TV platforms.
• Solid proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with a track record of performance optimisation.
• Proactive attitude toward automation, release processes and maintaining high test coverage.
• Experience with consumer apps that use GraphQL and adaptive streaming protocols (DASH, HLS) is a plus.
• Comfortable managing Git workflows and collaborating in cross‑functional teams.
