Assistant Department Manager – Sales

About the role

Join a leading international fashion retailer as an Assistant Department Manager in Sales. You will work closely with the Department Manager to drive performance, support daily operations on the shop floor, and help create an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Department Manager in leading the sales team and achieving targets.
• Be actively present on the sales floor to guide staff and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist in training, coaching, and motivating team members to exceed sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer service by leading by example.
• Conduct regular merchandise analysis and optimise the sales floor according to visual‑merchandising and marketing guidelines.
• Collaborate with the buying team to improve product selection and maintain strong availability.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of management experience, preferably in fashion (FMCG or service sectors are also considered).
• Passionate about delivering great customer service and creating positive experiences.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a commitment to teamwork.
• Enthusiastic about fashion and lifestyle.
• Organised, analytical and comfortable working with numbers.
• Fluent English; German is a plus but not required.
