Backend Software Engineer II

About the role

Bentley is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud team. You will help build next‑generation products and user experiences that digitise the lifecycle of infrastructure assets, supporting the company’s mission to advance global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and support product features, core components and cloud services while collaborating with product managers and engineering teams.
• Lead significant refactoring of provisioning services, both new and existing, and translate technical designs into high‑quality software using modern development tools.
• Maintain and enhance the existing codebase, resolve issues, write unit tests and follow DevOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable, production‑ready code and ensure secure service‑to‑service communication.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience with C++, C# or .NET.
• Proven experience building and maintaining backend APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, testable and secure code.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
