Bilingual Editor/Proofreader (French & English)

About the role

As a PR Editor on Notified’s global Editorial Team, you will ensure press releases are error‑free, correctly formatted and ready for distribution through a worldwide newswire network. The position combines high‑volume editing with direct client support, operating under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Review client press releases for grammatical, spelling and consistency issues, without fact‑checking.
• Format releases to match the client’s original layout as closely as possible.
• Provide phone and email support for a range of client enquiries, including regulatory filing assistance (SEDAR, EDGAR).
• Maintain client accounts, manage email lists, add new users and organise multimedia libraries.
• Act as the primary point of contact, delivering administrative and consultative assistance alongside the press‑release service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in both French and English.
• 1–2 years of professional experience, preferably in news‑wire distribution or a fast‑paced customer‑service environment.
• Ability to maintain focus under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work occasional overtime or weekend on‑call shifts.
