Brand Strategist

About the role

Surfshark is looking for a Brand Strategist to translate business objectives into compelling human stories. You will shape how the brand communicates across product launches, ensuring tech feels human and relevant to global audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Turn business goals into clear, human‑focused briefs that guide the creative team.
• Craft and own messaging and communication strategy for product launches across all phases.
• Develop messaging frameworks, strategic toolkits and briefing processes that can be scaled company‑wide.
• Research key markets, adapt global ideas to local cultures and ensure relevance.
• Collaborate with performance and research teams to analyse results and feed insights back into strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience building communication strategies and writing briefs from scratch.
• Ability to translate complex technical products into clear, relatable language.
• Global mindset with experience adapting messaging for different cultures and markets.
• Comfort working in ambiguous situations, asking tough questions and defining problems.
• Confident communicator who can constructively push back, pitch ideas and gain alignment without direct authority.

Required skills

• Strong storytelling and strategic thinking.
• Research and data‑driven insight synthesis.
• Familiarity with digital‑first, SaaS or subscription business models.
• Experience using AI tools for insight generation and messaging iteration.
