Caseworker

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a dedicated Caseworker to provide trauma‑informed services to refugees and other ORR‑eligible immigrants. You will support clients through individualized case management, helping them achieve self‑sufficiency and successful integration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews and needs assessments to identify client strengths, barriers, and goals.
• Develop Family Self‑Sufficiency Plans (FSSPs) and Individual Employability Plans (IEPs) in line with program and donor requirements.
• Provide direct case management, referrals, and advocacy, ensuring timely access to housing, benefits, healthcare, education, and employment services.
• Monitor client progress, adjust plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in case files and data systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and service providers.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Adhere to IRC policies on safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of case management experience in a social services setting.
• Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑cultural, multidisciplinary team.
• Problem‑solving mindset with capacity for independent work.
