Category Manager – Pet Products

About the role

KIKA GROUP is seeking a proactive Category Manager to lead the pet products portfolio across its retail and wholesale channels in the Baltic region. You will shape growth strategies, optimise assortments and drive profitability for a leading pet‑product retailer and manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a growth strategy for the pet products category to drive sales and profitability.
• Analyse market trends, competitive landscape and consumer needs to ensure an optimal product assortment.
• Negotiate purchasing terms, prices, promotions and long‑term partnership agreements with suppliers.
• Design pricing strategies that maintain competitiveness and foster customer loyalty.
• Plan offers, promotions and discounts in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Analyse sales results, prepare reports and provide insights for operational improvements.
• Initiate innovations and adapt emerging trends to the pet products category.

Required profile

• Experience in category management, procurement or sales (pet‑products experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience developing procurement strategies.
• Strategic, results‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
