About the role
Would you like to play a key role in shaping the future of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) technology at Danske Bank? You will provide technical leadership for a strategic AML data platform, driving its architecture and engineering evolution. This is a unique opportunity to influence key technology decisions and help build the next generation of AML solutions at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture and engineering evolution of the AML data platform
- Design and develop scalable data processing solutions for complex datasets
- Drive engineering standards through coding practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead platform modernisation and cloud transformation using AWS and Databricks
- Establish DevOps, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure governance, security, resilience, and operational stability of the platform
- Mentor engineers and build a strong data engineering community
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Platform Engineering
- Strong expertise with Apache Spark, SQL, and one or more of Scala, Java, or Python
- Experience building large‑scale distributed data platforms and processing solutions
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS and Databricks
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code
- Ability to lead complex technical initiatives across teams
- Strong understanding of data architecture, security, and governance
- Strong stakeholder management and mentoring skills
- Experience within AML, Financial Crime Prevention, or regulated environments is valued
