Controls Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Controls Commissioning Engineer to join its Lithuanian team. This hands‑on position focuses on electrical and PLC software commissioning for automated warehouse and material‑handling systems at customer sites, with opportunities for international travel and exposure to cutting‑edge intralogistics technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Commission control systems on‑site, including electrical wiring and PLC software.
• Support system testing activities and provide end‑user training.
• Create commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, method statements and risk assessments.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design inputs.
• Deliver project scope while meeting safety, quality, on‑time delivery and budget targets.
• Ensure CE compliance with the Machinery Directive and safety standards (BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204).
• Maintain Dematic’s professional image by adhering to company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 1‑5 years of experience in automation, controls or commissioning.
• Ability to work safely on complex automation solutions and travel internationally.

Required skills

• Electrical schematics interpretation

• Knowledge of BS EN ISO 12100, BS EN ISO 13849, BS EN ISO 13850 and BS EN ISO 60204
• CE compliance and safety‑related standards
• Commissioning documentation creation
