Controls Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics, is seeking a Controls Commissioning Engineer for its Lithuanian operations. The role involves hands‑on electrical and PLC software commissioning of automated warehouse and material handling systems at customer sites, ensuring safe, on‑time, and specification‑compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Commission control systems on‑site, including electrical and PLC software, and support system testing and end‑user training.
• Produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, method statements and risk assessments in line with BS EN ISO 12100.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design inputs, ensuring CE compliance and adherence to safety standards (BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204).
• Deliver project scope while meeting safety, quality, on‑time delivery and budget requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 1‑5 years experience as an Automation/Controls/Commissioning Engineer.
• Hands‑on electrical commissioning experience and ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 80% of the time and full working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley), HMI and SCADA commissioning.
• Knowledge of bus systems (Profinet, Profibus, AS‑i, EthernetIP).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.
• Valid driving licence.
