Deputy Chief Compliance Officer – Europe

About the role

Robinhood is building an elite compliance team to support its rapid growth across Europe. As Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, you will lead the development and execution of the firm’s compliance framework, focusing on MiFID II, MiCA and EU sanctions across the 30 EEA markets where we operate.

Key responsibilities

• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of compliance policies, especially MiFID II and MiCA requirements.
• Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex sanctions alerts and conduct deep‑dive investigations.
• Own regulatory reporting obligations, including transaction reporting, and serve as primary contact for external exams, regulatory inquiries and internal audits.
• Partner with legal, product, engineering and business leaders to ensure new and existing products meet all applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update sanctions policies and procedures to stay aligned with evolving EU regulations.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in compliance or regulatory affairs within the financial services sector.
• Deep knowledge of European regulations such as MiFID II, MiCA and EU sanctions regimes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Lithuania office at least three days per week.
