DevOps Engineer – Data Platform (Customer Experience)

About the role
Join Luminor as a DevOps Engineer in the Data Platform Unit, where you will help shape the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data platforms that enable bank‑wide, data‑driven solutions. You will combine software engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability expertise to build resilient systems for a modern data ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Develop software tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and developer experience.
- Design, build, and manage cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities with Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
- Create and maintain dashboards, metrics, and alerts that provide actionable insights into platform operations.
- Proactively identify improvement areas within platform services, infrastructure, and processes, and implement enhancements.
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews to continuously improve platform stability.
Required profile
- Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or a similar role with a strong track record of managing cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including designing, building, and operating cloud‑native solutions.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt, and CI/CD/GitOps practices using GitLab and Argo CD.
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience managing application and infrastructure deployments across environments using Helm charts and GitOps.
- Experience with large‑scale data platforms (Kafka, Flink, Spark, Iceberg) is a strong advantage.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
