About the role

The Ministry of the Interior seeks a visionary leader to head its Information Technology and Communications Department (IRD). The director will drive organisational and technological transformation, ensuring reliable operation of critical state information systems and communications infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build a modern, results‑oriented organisation with clear responsibilities, service definitions and quality metrics.
• Lead the modernization of VRS information systems, registers, critical communication solutions and IT infrastructure.
• Guarantee high reliability of critical IT services, cyber‑security and business continuity through defined service levels, recovery targets and regular testing.
• Strengthen IRD’s technological competence, preserve critical knowledge, reduce reliance on single specialists and foster talent attraction, development and retention.
• Implement data‑driven automation and artificial‑intelligence solutions to reduce administrative burden and accelerate decision‑making.

Required profile

• Impeccable professional reputation.
• University degree at master level (or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading large IT teams (150+ professionals) and managing complex, mission‑critical projects.
• Ability to shape long‑term strategic direction and execute structural, technological and cultural change over a five‑year term.
