About the role
As Director of Product Development at BURGA you will own the creation of new tech accessories, drinkware, travel items and any new category the company enters. Reporting directly to the founders, you will turn a strong pipeline of ideas into market‑leading products that launch on time, meet quality standards and generate sales.
Key responsibilities
- Define product strategy and roadmap across all categories using sales, sell‑through, reviews and return data.
- Lead end‑to‑end development: trend research, design, prototyping, testing and launch.
- Remove blockers quickly, source and manage manufacturers and material suppliers, write technical specs and RFQs.
- Set quality, testing and validation standards together with the factory and QC team.
- Hand over each launch to Supply Chain, E‑commerce, B2B, Marketing and Customer Support.
- Coach and grow the engineering/testing team, providing honest feedback and regular 1:1s.
- Own and report product KPIs such as on‑time launch rate, revenue per SKU, gross margin, time‑to‑market, defect and return rates.
Required profile
- 7+ years of product development experience in fashion accessories, lifestyle products or consumer tech accessories.
- 3+ years leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience in senior product roles (Head of Product, VP of Product, CPO, Senior Product Manager) for physical goods.
- Analytical, evidence‑based decision making.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and supplier management.
- Eye for design and trends combined with commercial judgment.
- Background in fast‑growing companies, building processes and teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent English.
- Experience in e‑commerce or DTC brands is a plus.
- Proven track record of launching innovative products across multiple categories.
