Engineering Manager

About the role

Bentley Systems is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the SYNCHRO software engineering group in Vilnius and Kaunas. You will oversee a team of 10+ engineers working on the current SYNCHRO 4D Pro desktop product and the next‑generation Scheduling Platform, balancing continuous improvements with strategic development decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of around 10+ software engineers across the current SYNCHRO 4D Pro product and the next‑generation Scheduling Platform.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver a quarterly roadmap aligned with Bentley’s Model Centric Construction goals.
• Own hiring, onboarding and retention as the group scales.
• Establish and refine software delivery processes, performance metrics and engineering standards for native desktop, web and cloud services.
• Champion AI‑assisted development practices and stay ahead of emerging technologies in BIM and construction software.

Required profile

• 3+ years of engineering management or team‑lead experience with direct people‑management responsibilities.
• Proven track record of building, scaling and retaining high‑performing engineering teams in a distributed, international environment.
• Hands‑on software engineering background sufficient to engage credibly in architectural discussions.
• Experience balancing work on an established product while delivering a new platform.
