Engineering Manager – Lead Full-Stack Team

About the role

As an Engineering Manager at Tide you will lead a cross-functional, domain-aligned full-stack team that owns end-to-end products ranging from banking and payments to administrative tooling. You will be empowered to make architectural decisions, drive engineering excellence and support the rapid growth of Tide’s finance platform for small businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and directly manage a cross-functional team, ensuring quality, stability and timely delivery.
• Partner with a Product Manager to form the Product‑Engineering Duo and shape product direction.
• Own the technical architecture and drive continuous improvement measured by DORA metrics.
• Support the growth and wellbeing of engineers through coaching, mentorship and hands‑on involvement in design and coding.

Required profile

• Extensive experience building server‑side applications, preferably with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven track record of leading and directly managing engineering teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and work effectively in an agile environment.

• Frontend frameworks – Angular, mobile – Flutter, Swift, Kotlin
• Data & analytics – Fivetran, BigQuery, Looker, Python, FastAPI, Faust
