Execution Controlling Lead

About the role

Dematic is seeking an experienced finance leader to act as a trusted business partner, providing forecasting, resource planning and commercial insight across a complex, project‑driven organisation. The Execution Controlling Lead will work closely with operational leaders to optimise resource utilisation and deliver the financial analysis needed for informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to develop and manage monthly workload and forecast planning, ensuring resource demand and utilisation are accurately reflected.
• Provide meaningful financial insight by analysing business performance, identifying trends, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support budget, forecast and cost‑centre management, helping stakeholders understand financial performance and key variances.
• Lead workload and headcount analysis, delivering monthly performance reporting, scorecards and management presentations for senior leadership.
• Coordinate the annual operating plan and budgeting process and drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, forecasting and finance processes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance, financial planning, commercial finance or finance business partnering roles.
• Previous leadership experience with a passion for coaching and developing others.
• Experience in a project‑based environment with strong understanding of project accounting principles.
• Strong forecasting, planning and analytical skills, and confidence to challenge stakeholders with data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities and a naturally curious mindset.
