Factory Director – Manufacturing Operations Lead

About the role

Actona Lithuania, a leading upholstered furniture manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Factory Director to steer its production organization toward continued growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a production strategy aligned with business objectives and long‑term growth plans.
• Lead Production, Project Management, Maintenance & Facilities, Occupational Health & Safety, and Fire Safety functions.
• Serve as the primary bridge between Manufacturing and other business functions, ensuring strong collaboration.
• Drive cross‑functional cooperation with Supply Chain Planning, Product Development, Procurement, Quality and other stakeholders.
• Implement new products, process changes and business initiatives through proactive planning.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery performance and cost competitiveness.
• Define, monitor and act on key performance indicators (KPIs) for data‑driven decision making.
• Identify and execute initiatives that optimise production processes and resource utilisation.
• Lead strategic projects and business‑improvement programmes.
• Develop and support managers, manage departmental budgets and promote company values and culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record leading operations in a large‑scale manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success improving productivity, efficiency, quality and overall performance.
• Experience driving organisational change, process improvement and business transformation.
• Strong leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with a data‑driven approach.
• Knowledge of project, process and change management.
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian.

Required skills
