Ferry Specialist – Logistics Coordination

About the role

As a Ferry Specialist at Girteka Group, you will ensure the smooth execution of ferry bookings and act as the main liaison between ferry operators and internal teams. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate ferry data, handling invoice verification, and supporting cost‑saving initiatives within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ferry bookings and coordinate schedules to guarantee timely shipments.
• Communicate regularly with ferry operators, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any service issues.
• Assist internal stakeholders by promptly resolving order‑related queries.
• Monitor ferry route changes and inform relevant departments of updates.
• Maintain the accuracy of ferry‑related data in the system.
• Verify invoices and contribute to cost‑avoidance and cost‑saving practices.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation a few times per week, with additional compensation.

Required profile

• Fluent in Lithuanian and English, both spoken and written.
• Quick learner who adapts well to change and takes responsibility for tasks.
• Effective communicator comfortable collaborating with diverse teams.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work consistently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with SAP TM or Microsoft Dynamics AX (advantageous).
• Prior experience in logistics, operations or customer care (advantageous).
