Finance & Accounting Manager – Part‑time

About the role

This isn’t a traditional bookkeeping role. Our finance stack is highly automated, but it still needs a strong human review layer to ensure accuracy. You will safeguard our books, financial reporting, and US sales‑tax compliance as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Accounting: maintain accurate bookkeeping, general‑ledger records and reconcile bank, Shopify, payment‑processor and other financial systems.
• Run the Monthly Close: manage month‑end close, review P&L and balance‑sheet accounts, and ensure complete, accurate reports.
• Manage the Money Flow: oversee accounts payable, invoices, accruals, contractor payments, vendors, inventory, COGS, freight and stock‑related accounting.
• Keep Taxes on Track: review US multi‑state sales‑tax filings, reconcile tax reports to sales data, monitor registrations and ensure timely filing and payment.
• Find the Gaps: investigate discrepancies, identify weaknesses in accounting processes, improve controls and resolve issues before they grow.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of general‑ledger, reconciliations, accruals and monthly close.
• Experience in e‑commerce or high‑growth consumer brands with physical products and inventory.
• Confidence working with Shopify, payment processors, banks and accounting systems to reconcile high‑volume transactions.
• Hands‑on experience with US multi‑state sales‑tax filings, registrations and reviewing automated tax outputs.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented, organized and proactive with strong English communication skills.
