Finance Director – Baltic Markets (Vilnius or Riga)

About the role

As Finance Director for Volvo Financial Services in the Baltic region, you will lead the finance and accounting strategy across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. You will work closely with the Managing Director and senior business functions to drive sustainable growth and ensure compliance with international and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end closing, financial reporting, P&L, balance‑sheet optimisation and tax compliance for all three markets.
• Consolidate forecasts from Commercial, Credit, Operations and Finance, and provide analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance, maintain robust internal controls and lead internal/external audit processes.
• Develop and monitor business, operational and financial KPIs, driving automation and process improvements.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of finance, tax and treasury professionals.

Required profile

• MBA or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in asset‑backed finance, preferably with heavy‑truck, trailer or construction equipment leasing.
• Proven management experience and ability to work across multiple European markets.
• Strong track record of establishing financial controls and delivering accurate IFRS‑based statements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Expertise in tax regulations affecting financial services across several jurisdictions.
• Understanding of treasury tools and cash‑management processes.
• Ability to design and maintain robust internal control environments.
