Financial Specialist – AP/AR & Asset Management

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Finance Specialist to join its Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable team. You will support cross‑charges, pre‑payments, fixed assets and other asset‑related processes while ensuring accurate financial administration, period‑end closing, internal controls, reconciliations and audit support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the cross‑charge process and monitor pre‑payments.
• Perform accounting activities related to subsidies, grants and fixed assets.
• Execute internal controls and support internal and external audits.
• Develop, update and maintain internal policies and procedures.
• Carry out period‑end closing activities and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Upload reports to BlackLine and perform necessary financial adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance with solid understanding of financial principles.
• Strong analytical ability to gather, organize, analyze and summarize financial data.
• Experience designing and improving financial processes.
• Good English language skills (B2 or above).

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Experience with BlackLine reporting tool.
• Knowledge of the E1 business accounting system (advantage).
