Front-end Engineer (React / TypeScript)

About the role

Bentley Systems is looking for a Front‑end Engineer to join the team developing SYNCHRO, a 4D construction planning and project management suite. You will work closely with product and engineering peers, shaping requirements, making technical decisions, and delivering high‑quality front‑end features.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to system design with focus on stability, usability, security and maintainability.
• Implement features using modern React and TypeScript tooling.
• Maintain and support existing codebases and collaborate with support teams.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure coverage of key use cases.
• Follow DevOps practices from design through delivery, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Continuously learn and apply modern technologies, patterns and secure development practices.
• Collaborate with other teams whose services are consumed or depend on yours.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React with modern front‑end development practices.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, efficient and secure code.
• Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks, data structures and object‑oriented programming.
• Understanding of short‑ and long‑term implications of technical decisions.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Quick learner who can adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Self‑driven mindset capable of working independently and collaboratively.
