General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will perform a variety of accounting activities for the NCEE Shared Service Centre in Lithuania. The role involves supporting regional operations, ensuring accurate journal entries, and contributing to month‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide data entry, accounting and general support for regional NCEE Shared Service Centre operations.
• Post, verify and balance debits and credits in SAP, ensuring journal accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries, locate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Perform month‑end close activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Handle CapEx accounting, fixed assets and leases through journal entries and compliance.
• Support ad‑hoc tasks such as AP invoice entry, automated bank payments and manual bank postings in SAP.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Relevant education in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Fluent English and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• SAP accounting module.
• Microsoft Excel.
