German Speaking Core Lead Developer (ServiceNow)

About the role

We are looking for a Core Lead Developer to act as the senior technical backbone of the Core & Platform stream. The role works closely with the interim Product Owner, providing technical leadership and expertise for strategic platform decisions and day‑to‑day development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical lead for the Core & Platform stream, guiding the development team.
• Design and develop solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules, ensuring scalability, security and maintainability.
• Own platform architecture components such as CMDB, CSDM, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, GlideRecord and GlideAjax.
• Design and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server and event‑driven patterns.
• Support release and upgrade cycles, manage technical debt and provide input on backlog prioritisation in a SAFe/Scrum environment.

Required profile

• Senior‑level ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HAM/SAM or GRC).
• Business‑fluent German and strong English communication skills.
• Proven ability to mentor developers and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required by projects.

Required skills

• ServiceNow platform architecture (CMDB, CSDM, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, GlideRecord, GlideAjax).
• Integration development using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, event‑driven patterns.
• Performance optimisation and security best practices on ServiceNow.
• Experience with SAFe or Scrum agile frameworks.
