Graduate Controls Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Swisslog is looking for a Graduate Controls Commissioning Engineer to join its robotics and intralogistics team. Based in Kaunas, Lithuania, you will travel across Europe to install and commission advanced automated systems for warehouse customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the final stages of installation and commissioning of core robotic products.
• Provide high‑level support to field and operations teams during ramp‑up.
• Collaborate with development colleagues on program optimisation for customer systems.
• Perform independent I/O testing on fully installed systems.
• Support upstream and downstream subsystem interfaces throughout the ramp‑up phase.
• Coordinate activities between suppliers and product‑development teams.
• Deliver 2nd and 3rd line technical support to customers.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
• Ability to stay focused during stressful periods.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across Europe.
• Good command of English.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.

Required skills

• PLC programming.
• Familiarity with bus systems such as EtherCAT, Profinet and AS‑i (advantage).
• Hardware experience with frequency converters, drives, sensors and control cabinets (desirable).
