Head of Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead Eneba’s engineering organization, overseeing 70+ engineers across software, mobile, security and IT. Reporting to the VP of Technology, you will shape technical decisions, processes and AI adoption while ensuring platform stability and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Own the stability, reliability and efficiency of Eneba’s core technology platform.
• Lead, mentor and grow a lean core of engineering managers and tech leads, fostering accountability and strong technical ownership.
• Maintain and improve engineering practices, processes and documentation to enable rapid onboarding and project rotation.
• Translate business needs into clear technical priorities in partnership with product, data and other stakeholders.
• Anticipate scaling and stability risks and proactively prepare architecture and teams for growth.
• Ensure high standards for code quality, security and operational excellence while keeping the organization lean.
• Drive AI/LLM adoption, setting culture, tooling and behavior modeling across the engineering org.

Required profile

• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in senior engineering leadership (Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, etc.).
• Proven track record leading organizations of 40+ engineers in product‑focused tech companies.
• Strong hands‑on software engineering background and ability to make architecture decisions across the stack.
• Experience scaling teams in high‑growth or startup environments and operating with minimal approval chains.
• Background in consumer‑facing product companies such as marketplaces, e‑commerce or gaming.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for people leadership at scale, including coaching managers and handling performance issues.
• Active user of AI/LLM tools with experience driving adoption within engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, fluent in business‑level English.
