Head of Growth, Margin Trading

About the role

Lead the growth of margin trading on Kraken Pro, the platform’s top revenue‑generating feature, with CEO‑level ownership of the business area. You will design and execute strategies to attract high‑net‑worth individual traders and win them from competing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own growth for margin trading on Kraken Pro, driving revenue and user acquisition.
• Build and execute acquisition strategies for high‑net‑worth individual (HNWI) traders, including winning them from competitors.
• Partner closely with the VIP team to shape sourcing, onboarding, and activation of high‑value traders.
• Mobilize performance marketing, organic channels, creative design, and internal teams to drive margin growth as a senior individual contributor.
• Define positioning, messaging, and offers that resonate with sophisticated, high‑volume traders.
• Set growth targets and own the funnel from lead to funded account to active margin trader.
• Run rapid experiments across channels, programs, and incentives, scaling successful tactics.
• Provide trader insights to Product to influence the margin trading roadmap.

Required profile

• 4+ years in growth, product marketing, or VIP/high‑value customer acquisition.
• Proven track record of acquiring high‑net‑worth traders or players in crypto, trading, or gaming/gambling.
• Experience winning customers away from competitors and converting them into long‑term, high‑value users.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams without formal authority and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Strong grasp of leveraged and margin trading and how high‑volume traders make decisions.
• Data‑driven approach, owning funnel metrics, revenue impact, and ROI on acquisition spend.
• High agency and scrappiness: takes full ownership, moves fast, and delivers without ideal conditions.
• Clear communicator who builds alignment across marketing, VIP, product, and leadership.
