Head of IT Service Governance

About the role

Lead the Service Governance team within Danica IT’s Shared Capabilities cluster, shaping operational governance across the organisation and collaborating with product owners, technology specialists and group‑wide governance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary Service Governance team, establishing clear purpose, priorities and accountability.
• Define and execute the Service Governance roadmap aligned with Danica IT strategy.
• Own and mature ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change and release governance.
• Ensure services meet operational readiness criteria before production deployment.
• Strengthen ServiceNow governance, CMDB and service portfolio management.
• Provide transparent operational reporting to leadership and governance forums.
• Partner with squads on control implementation, audit readiness, remediation and sustainable process adoption.
• Build collaboration with Danske Bank Group functions while balancing standards.

Required profile

• People‑leadership experience with a track record of building inclusive, accountable teams.
• Strong background in IT service management, service governance or technology operations within a complex organisation.
• Solid practical understanding of ITIL‑based processes, operational readiness, service transition and continuous improvement.
• Good understanding of IT risk, controls and regulatory expectations.
• Fluency in English; financial‑services or DORA experience is a plus.
