About the role
Join the OPTOMAN team to lead the Optical Production & Metrology Department, shaping optical quality and metrology performance across the company. You will be responsible for building a high‑performing team that delivers reliable products while driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Optical Production & Metrology Department, including Team Leads and specialist teams, and manage department‑level KPIs.
- Own optical quality and metrology performance, reporting manufacturing KPIs such as Just‑in‑Time, Yield and Rework.
- Recruit, coach and succession‑plan senior specialists and Team Leads.
- Enforce cleanroom discipline, contamination control and handling standards.
- Drive the department’s continuous‑improvement agenda, identifying quality risks and process inefficiencies.
- Escalate and resolve optical quality issues, ensuring root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Represent the department in cross‑functional coordination with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Technical Sales.
- Maintain measurement system reliability, documentation traceability and audit readiness.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, Photonics or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 8+ years experience in manufacturing, laboratory, optical, coatings or quality‑focused environments, with proven leadership of other leaders.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, root‑cause analysis and multi‑team continuous‑improvement methodologies.
- Fluent Lithuanian (C1‑C2) and English (B2‑C1).
