Junior Network Engineer – Global Network Operations

About the role

Hostinger is building an AI‑first infrastructure and needs a Junior Network Engineer to help operate and expand its global network of nearly 1,000 devices across data centres worldwide. You will work hands‑on with Linux networking, BGP, peering, automation and observability while gaining practical experience in large‑scale production networks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor Hostinger’s global network to ensure reliability and performance.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP routing, peering, transit services and IXPs.
• Automate routine tasks using Python, Ansible and NetBox.
• Support IP address management, capacity tracking and record keeping.
• Monitor network health with Prometheus and Grafana and analyse sFlow telemetry.
• Investigate packet loss, routing issues and performance incidents.
• Contribute to DDoS protection and other security controls.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, hardware, security, monitoring and product teams.
• Improve documentation and runbooks for network operations.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Strong willingness to learn and ask questions.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with teammates.
• Problem‑solving attitude, focusing on root‑cause analysis.
• Preference for automation over manual repetitive work.
• Readiness to take ownership of tasks and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation when required.
