About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Manufacturing Sciences Scientist II to support the development and optimisation of technologies and methods that ensure consistent production of molecular biology products. You will work at the intersection of research and manufacturing, driving process improvements and technology transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise production technologies and methods for molecular biology products.
• Support process and method optimisation, technology transfer and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure robust, scalable manufacturing processes meet quality standards.

Required profile

• MSc in natural sciences or BSc with hands‑on experience.
• Ability to conduct experiments with moderate supervision and mentorship.
• Project management and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Independent and collaborative work style in a dynamic environment.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Willingness to provide occasional weekend or off‑hours support.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
