Mechanical Design Project Engineer

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Project Engineer to join its Lithuania team. You will design and deliver conveyor technology for container and light unit load applications, working on both standard and innovative machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project‑specific approval layouts based on customer and sales input.
• Translate complex project scopes into detailed system concepts and layouts.
• Review material flow, define special designs, and outline ergonomic workspaces.
• Conduct mechanical safety assessments and define required safeguards.
• Collaborate with compliance, structural, installation and controls teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Produce detailed mechanical layouts, specifications and installation drawings, including BOMs and SAP requisitions.
• Provide remote and on‑site engineering support during installation and ensure thorough handovers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project engineering, preferably in complex industrial systems.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.
