Medical Director / Senior Medical Director – Neurology or Psychiatry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Medical Director or Senior Medical Director to join our remote team serving EMEA locations. The role is ideal for a certified Neurologist or Psychiatrist with a strong background in medical monitoring within a CRO environment, who will drive medical excellence across multiple clinical research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent medical support for project delivery, adhering to sponsor agreements and timelines.
• Participate in study planning, feasibility assessments, and solution consulting.
• Provide therapeutic area training to study teams and contribute to the development of protocols, monitoring plans, safety documents, and informed consent forms.
• Execute medical monitoring activities in line with Medical Monitoring Plans and support pharmacovigilance workflows, including serious adverse event review.
• Build and maintain client relationships, support business development, and offer consultancy on protocol and drug development programs.
• Mentor junior physicians and, when required, lead as Global or Regional Lead Physician.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 + years of clinical practice as a qualified Psychiatrist or Neurologist.
• Proven experience as a medical monitor, preferably within a CRO.
• Strong knowledge of drug development processes, clinical trial design, and pharmacovigilance.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with project leaders.
