Prepress Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Prepress Team Leader to build and manage a new prepress department for a state‑of‑the‑art packaging printing facility in Lithuania. The role combines deep technical knowledge of sheet‑fed offset printing with the ability to train, support and develop a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, organise and support daily activities of the prepress team.
• Coordinate and continuously improve prepress workflows from customer brief to print production.
• Work closely with press operators and production teams to ensure files, colour and print specifications are production‑ready.
• Maintain and develop prepress and print quality standards, establishing effective quality‑control procedures.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of CTP systems, printers and colour‑measurement equipment.
• Identify production and quality issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor workflow efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train, mentor and develop prepress team members, sharing best practices and technical guidance.
• Help define processes, procedures and technical standards for the new facility.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience in sheet‑fed offset printing, preferably in folding carton or paper‑packaging production.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team in a high‑speed production environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on quality and efficiency.
