QA Tech Lead – Lead QA Strategy & Mentorship

About the role

Present Connection is launching a new chapter in its quality assurance journey and seeks a Lead QA Engineer to own the technical direction of the QA practice. This strategic, hands‑on role will shape and elevate QA across the company while mentoring engineers in client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision for QA across the organisation.
• Act as the go‑to expert and mentor for QA engineers working in separate client teams.
• Establish and promote shared QA best practices, tools and processes.
• Evaluate and introduce new testing technologies and strategies.
• Collaborate with tech leads, developers and management to embed quality early.
• Participate in hands‑on testing, define test strategies and set quality examples.
• Support hiring, onboarding and development of new QA team members.
• Lead the selection and mentorship of QA interns.
• Contribute to new client onboarding from a QA perspective.
• Kick off company‑wide QA initiatives such as knowledge sharing and automation frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of QA experience with a strong technical background.
• Proven experience driving process improvements.
• Hands‑on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and test‑management tools.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript core.
• Team‑oriented, proactive and quality‑focused attitude.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to implement test‑automation frameworks, including behavior‑driven approaches.
