Quality Engineer – Advanced Content Control

About the role

CUJO AI is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Advanced Content Control Engineering (ACCE) team in Lithuania. You will own quality for the Compass platform, a 24/7 event‑driven service that powers Digital Life services for operators worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own release readiness, regression scope and risk communication for a live production service.
• Design test strategy across unit, component, integration, contract and end‑to‑end levels for an event‑driven architecture.
• Develop clean, maintainable Python test automation and extend the shared test framework.
• Validate Kafka topics, REST and partner APIs, OpenSearch indices, Redis caches, S3‑delivered rule releases and underlying AWS services.
• Plan and execute performance and regression cycles, turning results into capacity and design feedback.
• Reproduce customer‑reported issues, collaborate with product operations and translate real deployments into test coverage.
• Mentor teammates, document practices and promote a company‑wide culture of quality.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software QA/QE experience, preferably with backend or cloud products.
• Hands‑on experience testing distributed, event‑driven or streaming systems.
• Familiarity with multi‑tenant SaaS delivered to enterprise or telco customers.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python programming for test automation.
• pytest and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• REST API testing, OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Kafka concepts: topics, partitions, consumer lag, replay.
• AWS services: ECS, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, OpenSearch, ElastiCache/Redis, CloudWatch.
• Observability tools: Grafana, Kibana/OpenSearch.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SNI.
• Backend fundamentals: Java, Spring Boot (reading code).
