About the role
Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Railway Track Designer to join its team in Vilnius, Lithuania. You will be responsible for creating safe, efficient, and standards‑compliant railway track layouts from concept through construction.
Key responsibilities
- Design railway track geometry, including horizontal and vertical alignment, curvature, gradients, and superelevation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, plans, profiles, and cross‑sections.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and railway authorities to review and optimise designs.
- Supervise on‑site construction to verify adherence to approved designs.
- Implement quality‑control inspections, tests, and measurements to confirm track alignment, gauge, and smoothness.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and contractors to integrate track design with overall project elements.
