React Team Lead

About the role

We’re looking for a React Team Lead to join Telia’s TV Systems team. You will help shape high‑scale TV platforms that deliver seamless streaming experiences to hundreds of thousands of users across multiple devices.

Key responsibilities

• Build high‑performance TV and web applications using React and TypeScript in a large‑scale streaming environment.
• Lead and mentor a team of seven React developers, running regular 1:1s, providing feedback and supporting career development.
• Distribute tasks effectively to avoid bottlenecks and knowledge silos.
• Develop scalable applications for the Telia Play platform on Samsung, LG and Android TV.
• Create fast, intuitive, visually polished user interfaces optimized for media consumption.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver responsive and reliable streaming experiences.
• Continuously optimise performance for high‑load, cross‑platform TV applications.

Required profile

• Strong ownership, attention to performance and quality, and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Proven leadership and people skills, able to mentor and challenge engineers constructively.
• Self‑motivated, proactive learner eager to share knowledge.
• Fluency in English.
