Risk Management Director – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

ZEN.COM is looking for a senior Risk Management Director to lead its enterprise risk function on a global scale. The role is fully remote and will shape risk strategy across payments, e‑money, and card acquiring activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including policy, appetite statement and risk register.
• Lead regulatory interactions with supervisors, Visa, Mastercard and other strategic stakeholders.
• Prepare board‑level risk reports, ICAAP inputs and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee operational, ICT, third‑party and acquiring risk management, ensuring compliance with PSD2, DORA and EBA guidelines.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing risk team, managing budget and talent acquisition.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of risk management experience in regulated financial services, preferably within EMIs or PSPs.
• Proven senior‑level experience in multi‑jurisdictional environments, especially EU/EEA, with direct interaction with regulators and boards.
• Demonstrated ability to design and scale a risk function, including hiring and structuring teams.
• Strong commercial awareness to balance risk rigor with business objectives.
