Security Architect (F/M/D)

About the role

Ignitis Group's shared services centre, part of a renewables-focused integrated utility, is looking for a Security Architect to join its IT Architecture team. You will help shape secure technology solutions across the Group by bridging cybersecurity requirements with their practical implementation in architecture, software engineering and infrastructure, supporting the resilience of critical energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Shape, own and improve IT and OT security architecture principles, standards and reusable patterns, covering network security and segmentation, secure connectivity, identity and access management and IT/OT integration.
• Embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, integrating standardized and automated security controls into CI/CD pipelines and engineering practices.
• Assess the security architecture of new and changing IT and OT solutions and define practical ways to manage identified risks.
• Translate cybersecurity requirements and risks into concrete architecture and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists, software engineering, infrastructure and network teams to build secure solutions.
• Promote secure development practices across engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including hands-on design and implementation of technical solutions in software, infrastructure or security engineering.
• Demonstrated experience designing secure architectures and embedding security controls into infrastructure, software delivery or engineering processes.
• Ability to assess cybersecurity risks and define proportionate, technically sound security solutions.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity regulations and standards.
• Ability to make and defend architecture decisions independently and communicate complex security topics clearly.

Required skills

• Designing and assessing secure infrastructure, cloud, network, identity and access management solutions.
• Advantage: experience with security tooling in CI/CD pipelines, policy-as-code, threat modelling, IAM/PAM, Azure security solutions or OT/ICS security standards.
