Senior Accountant

About the role

Finora Bank, an ECB‑licensed specialist bank, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. The role supports daily accounting and financial reporting for the bank’s loan and deposit portfolios, as well as invoice processing and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile loan disbursements, repayments, interest, fees and other movements using Business Central.
• Account for deposit portfolio activity, calculate monthly interest accruals and reconcile balances.
• Post monthly interest income/expense accruals and defer loan origination fees under IFRS 9.
• Post expected credit loss allowances, write‑offs and recoveries and reconcile them with the loan portfolio.
• Prepare loan and deposit data for financial statements, management and regulatory reporting (FINREP, COREP).
• Process purchase and sales invoices through the Fitek system and Business Central, ensuring proper documentation in SharePoint.
• Support the Finance function, onboard new team members and perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Chief Accountant.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Relevant accounting experience in a financial institution (advantage).
• Good understanding of IFRS, accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Fluent written and spoken Lithuanian and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel.
• Business Central.
• Fitek (or similar invoice processing system).
• Knowledge of IFRS 9 and regulatory reporting (FINREP, COREP).
