Senior Android Engineer – POS for VGo Shops

About the role

Vinted is expanding its logistics arm, VGo, with a new Point of Sale (POS) solution for shop partners. As the sole Android engineer on the POS team, you will own the Android side of the product, shaping its architecture and delivering high‑quality features that enable secure in‑person payments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android features using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, data experts, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end payment experiences.
• Contribute to the evolution of a modular Android codebase and define architectural guidelines.
• Implement feature flags, experimentation, and observability tools to release changes safely.
• Participate in design discussions, write RFCs, conduct code reviews, and make technical decisions.
• Continuously improve engineering processes and product performance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level Android developer with a track record of shipping complex mobile features.
• Comfortable working autonomously as the only Android engineer on a cross‑functional team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to iterate quickly in a fast‑moving environment.
