Senior Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

Unity is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to own and evolve the data foundation for its People Analytics team. You will design, build, and govern the data pipelines, warehouse, and metric layer that power HR reporting and AI‑assisted analytics across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines for HR data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
• Architect and lead the People Analytics data warehouse and self‑service reporting layer, collaborating with Insights Analysts.
• Build a semantic and metric layer that enables reliable AI‑driven querying and conversational analytics.
• Implement AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate pipeline creation, testing, and documentation.
• Own data governance, including PII handling, GDPR compliance, access controls, and anonymisation for high‑risk HR use cases.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and owning data pipelines from ingestion to visualization.
• Strong background in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and modern analytics engineering practices.
• Deep SQL expertise with performance optimisation on Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Experience delivering analytics‑ready data models with clear definitions and documentation.
• Ability to gather requirements, prioritise work, and lead technical projects to completion.
