Senior Engineering Manager – Corporate Travel Platform

About the role

As a Senior Engineering Manager for K4B, you will lead agile engineering teams that build and sustain KAYAK's corporate travel technology platform. You will shape technical roadmaps, champion backend architecture, and ensure high‑quality, reliable services for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional agile teams focused on sustaining operational quality and platform reliability.
• Own the technical roadmap, align priorities with engineering leadership, and champion backend architecture decisions.
• Set and enforce best practices for coding, testing, code coverage, CI/CD, and deployment quality.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, remove blockers, balance backlog, and ensure high reliability and security standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering managers and cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve dependencies and support product teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years managing B2B SaaS engineering teams with a focus on quality, SLA compliance, and operational excellence.
• 10+ years software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• Proven ability to drive agile transformation, process optimization, and a quality‑first culture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to articulate technical vision to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Distributed systems design and backend service architecture.

• Version control systems (Git/GitHub) and issue tracking tools (Jira).
