Senior FP&A Analyst

About the role

As a Senior FP&A Analyst within the Workflow & Insights Finance team, you will support financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis and strategic decision‑making across Nasdaq’s business. The role blends traditional FP&A duties with exposure to AI‑enabled finance processes and business transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Handle month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including accruals, invoice tracking, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and long‑range planning, identifying risks and opportunities and providing actionable recommendations.
• Partner with business leaders on spending trends, resource requirements, investment priorities, workforce planning and operating expense optimization.
• Prepare financial analyses, performance reporting, KPIs and executive‑level materials for senior finance stakeholders.
• Drive business transformation and finance‑process automation through data‑driven insights and AI‑enabled tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, strategic finance or business analytics.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including work with large and complex datasets.
• Experience with Power BI, OneStream, Workday, Anaplan, Salesforce, Databricks or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
